Working to Approved designs Able Engineering was required to fabricate a vacuum pump skid for a new oil/gas exploration project in the North Sea. The skid was manufactured to meet the exacting standards required by the customer for offshore use. These standards included specific weld approvals for heavy section materials, for both the skid frame and lifting equipment, training of personnel for the installation of proprietary pipework, control of specialist paint applications, complex certified electrical works; MPI, UT and Radiographic weld inspection, hydrostatic testing, certified assembly and bolting procedures and the preparation and submission of a comprehensive supporting documentation package.
